I've just come across your write up - I think it's excellent - lots of detail & useful information, and some great photos. We have a lot of Aussies on our holidays - there's acouple halfway along the coast to coast right now, blogging as they go (see http://www.mickledore.co.uk/blog/your-holidays/index.htm , 14th April entry.) IN answer to JP's question - we think arounf 20% of people walking the coast to coast camp. You can also have the best of both worlds - som eof the courier companies will carry your caming gear between campsites.

Hi Frank

From my observations - no, not many were carrying all their gear and camping.

Looking forward to getting out fro a 'proper' hike in NE Vic as soon as the snow melts...

Cheers, JP

Hi Jeremy,
Really enjoyed reading all your posts about this Coast to Coast walk. It reads like a great trip.

Do many people do it carrying all their gear and camping out? (like a real Aussie hike??? LOL)
